About Nambute Parents' School

Nambute Parents’ School is located in the wonderful village of Nambute, about 80 km from Uganda’s Capital Kampala in the Mityana district. This pre-and primary school was started by a great Man Mr. Kaluganda Eria, having observed peoples’ need for education in the village of Nambute, Miseebe parish, Bulera sub-county in Mityana District.

The list goes on to cover the entire Miseebe Parish which has over 15 villages, neighboring Naama and Busundo across the Swamp along the Mityana-Mubende highway.

Nambute Parents P/School

Nambute Parents’ School was established in 1993, and indeed, this answered many parents’ prayers, it gave their children relatively better pre-primary and primary education compared to the public school, and many have been transformed and can support their families to a certain extent.

This allowed parents to attend to their crops and animals without worrying about the distances to walk their children to school, hence increasing their productivity on their farms. the school became a glory of the land and many were so proud of it.

This village has employed many of the old students and village supporters including myself as a math tutor to prepare candidate pupils for the National Exams which lasted for a few months before joining the University for my Undergraduate Studies in 2005.

Many students have always given positive feedback on my contribution to their success and this shows how the school struggled with maintaining teachers and retaining them based on low fees structures for parents’ affordability albeit no funding is given to such schools or any form of incentive.

Founded In 1993

Back in the early 1990s, Nambute village had access to one public primary school founded by the Anglican Church of Uganda in the 1980s, located approximately 4.0 miles away from the village, this long distance made it unable to provide quality pre-primary and primary education for the kids,

Mr. Kaluganda Eria

Mr. Kaluganda Eria a passionate educator, had an idea and inspiration to introduce a school in Mityana town alongside his comrade George William Ssalongo Lwanyaga (deceased) with a view to influencing the Ugandan Education in the village areas, unfortunately, the idea was futile and thus transferred the idea to Nambute village.

Based on their low-income levels, the school received positive acceptance and embrace from the village dwellers as this was a chance to educate their children closer to their homes at an affordable cost. Above all, this would also reduce the school dropout rate before year 5 of a pupil’s education life to join either cattle rearing, farming, and hunting for wild animals.

It was a privileged few like myself, when the only public primary school couldn’t offer enough, my father was able to afford a school in town close to my grandmother to access a better education which 95% of the village dwellers did not have.

Unfortunately, the school has experienced a major setback and indeed a complete collapse as the proprietor aged and lacked a support system to keep this great idea realizing more life in the future. The covid-19 pandemic disrupted the school and could not weather through the pandemic with its overhead costs, which to me is a dark cloud on my lovely village Nambute. I would wish to see more kids realizing their potential in life given a chance that can only be assured through education. The villages lack an immediate and nearby alternative without this school.

It is with this heartfelt concern that I wish to give back to the village and place that raised me. In agreement with the proprietor, the school was transferred to Rodmakuway Ltd, with the view to revamping it to a better standard and a sustainable one.  we dream of a model pre-primary and primary school that will interest people from near and far.

The school lacks up-to-date curriculum textbooks and teaching materials, furniture for kids and staff, teaching materials, qualified teachers, support staff, and administration. The schools’ existing buildings need renovation, and more infrastructure like staff quarters, dining hall, and administrative building is required

Our humble appeal goes to the good citizens of the World who identify with our need, to lend us a hand with anything possible while we revamp our Nambute Parents’ School so that the children of Nambute village dwellers can realize their full potential, become responsible citizens of the World, and contribute to humanity. We have a great idea of transforming this school to include a boarding section. It is in a good learning environment, and we want our village kids to have a cultural interaction with the rest of the world. We thank you in advance and we want to pledge our transparency and accountability with every penny, Many thanks.
